Trick or Treating Fun for Halloween for Kids in Denver Metro 2012



Many of the suburban area’s surrounding Denver have long standing traditions of providing fun activities, costume contests and trick or treating through the business area or a park as well as the annual Bucket List events like Boo at the Zoo. We have gathered a list of our favorite’s. Please feel free to let us know if we’ve left one off the Halloween Fun list that should be included.

Pre Halloween Events for Kids

Trick or Treat Street October 26-28, 2012 9 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Childrens Museum of Denver

Trick or Treat Train October 27-28 at the Colorado Railroad Museum 17155 W. 44th Ave., Golden

Halloween Science October 28 at Denver Museum of Nature & Science - Stir your witch’s cauldron this Halloween to create “magical” chemical changes. Create fog, conjure up potions that change color, and eat some of your creations. Beware! You are sure to be amazed in this magical class.


Boo at the zoo after dark denver zooBoo at the Zoo AFTER DARK - Friday, Oct 26 6:30 p.m.Denver Zoo, Denver Join Denver Zoo’s nocturnal creatures during a special night time additional of Boo At The Zoo.

Bug a Boo at the Butterfly Pavillion October 27-28  Come meet the Butterfly Pavilion’s creepiest crawliest friends .

Trick or Treat Trail at Elitches – Saturdays and Sundays October 5 – 28 from noon-5 p.m., little ghouls and goblins can trick or treat their way around Kiddieland. Pick up your trick or treat bags and maps in the “Bootique” on Main Street. For children under 54″ tall please.

Halloween Cupcakes at the Denver Public Library - Sunday, October 21, 1:30-3 p.m. Inspired by the series of books on cupcakes by Alan Richardson, including Hello, Cupcake! – students will explore some spooky Halloween cupcake designs, as well as some fun Thanksgiving ones to bring a smile on turkey day. Chef Amy will share easy decorating tricks and treats, too – like cockroaches, owls and Indian corn. Recipes included and you get to eat your creation. This workshop requires registration. HEAR Project’s 1st Annual Trick-or-Treat Through The Park -  Sunday, Oct 21 2 p.m. Cheeseman Park – Northwest Corner Denver CO.  Activities include a walk with trick or treat stops, costume contest, games, and photos.
